I am mostly happy with logitech harmony 890 remote. I keep my DVD, DVR and stuff hidden away in a closet. This remote plus the extender thingus (also in the closet) allow me to control them from anywhere in the house. Life is a little simpler.
logitech harmony 890 : Very smart, impressive remote. Easy to program using Logitech s updated SW. "Help" key runs through a few sequenced "fixes" that automatically re-synchs equipment when their states get out of whack. Love the motion sensor that makes the lighted keyboard come to life when you pick it up. Smallish visual window may be a problem for some but is very functional. Button layout could be improved as others have stated. Well worth the money. Finding out more and more about it each day and am very satisfied.
