Logitech Harmony 1100 really does the job. Bottom line: my wife now says she can turn the AV system on and off successfully and repeatedly. There are still a few unavoidable things that come up, like the input setting on the plasma monitor gets out of sync and you need to use the help key (which works just fine, by the way) but all-in-all this is a terrific product and it just does the job reliably. Best remote ever!!
